Meet With a Doctor
From Home
Advanced ENT & Allergy Center offers telemedicine, or virtual or online, appointments in addition to in-office consultations. Meet with a sinus or allergy expert from the comfort of your home.
What Is Telemedicine?
Telemedicine, or e-visits, is a way to connect with your doctor online. We like to think of it as the modern version of an old-fashioned house call! Telehealth allows you and your doctor to connect using digital technology, without needing to travel to an office or wait in a waiting room.
The Benefits of Telemedicine
Telemedicine allows you to consult with your doctor without leaving the comfort of home! These appointments are easy, convenient, safe and covered by most insurance plans. Our telehealth system is simple and allows patients to meet with our expert doctors without having to download any complicated apps.
For patients with health concerns, telemedicine also helps decrease risky exposure to other people and environments during these changing times.
Telemedicine also makes it easy to treat your allergies remotely. You can review visual test results and imaging studies with doctors as they share your results on the screen to show you exactly what they are looking at, to inform other members of the family of test results simultaneously (such as caretakers or spouses) and for doctors to see and understand your environment better.
What Does the Telemedicine Process Look Like?
With Advanced ENT & Allergy Center, you can easily set up a telemedicine video chat with a ENT specialist without downloading any software or applications – all you need is a smartphone, tablet, or computer.
The process is simple:
- Call us or use our online scheduler to set up an appointment
- We will contact you via email and send you the appointment link
- At your scheduled time, click the link and you will be connected with your doctor online
What to Expect After a Telemedicine Appointment
Your telemedicine appointment will be similar to a normal office visit, and so will the follow-up afterwards. Sometimes your doctor will schedule a telemedical or an in-person follow up if there is more evaluation needed. We can also send you a prescription digitally, set you up with imaging, or even send you an at-home allergy test. We’re committed to providing solutions to your sinus and allergy issues even without in-office contact and we will work with you to create a treatment plan that gets you lasting relief from your symptoms.
Our Telemedicine Offerings
Our office specializes in telemedicine and we’ve cared for hundreds of patients virtually. We are happy to see you for any ear, nose, throat, sinus and allergy concerns through an online telehealth appointment. Initial consultations, follow-up appointments, and specialized visits can all happen with telemedicine. If the doctor feels it is needed, we can always schedule in-person follow up appointments safely at our conveniently located DTC office.
We’ve all experienced bad Zoom calls with poor audio, but we will ensure you have a clear, high-quality, HIPAA compliant video chat with our providers. We know it’s important that you feel connected!
When You Should Come into the Office Vs. Schedule a Virtual Appointment
We have extensive experience with telemedicine, which means we are happy to see you virtually or in person, depending on your preference and comfort. Our office has instituted numerous safety policies to ensure any patient coming to our office is safe.
Still, we understand it can be more convenient and comfortable, especially during this time, for some patients to schedule an online medical e-visit. We are happy to accommodate patient needs by providing the same level of care, compassion, and professionalism in a virtual telemedicine format.
What Is the Difference Between Telemedicine, a Virtual Visit, an E-Visit, and Telehealth?
These terms, and others, are often used interchangeably. The ultimate goal of all of these terms is to provide you with an easy and convenient way to connect with an expert or specialist.
Privacy and Security
The safety and privacy of your information is our utmost concern. We have ensured that all of the technology we utilize is HIPAA compliant. Your information and conversation will remain confidential in the same way it would during an in-office visit.
Find relief from your symptoms in the comfort of your own home.
